Teaching Pedagogy

When you become a student of SRGI, you are not only for three or four years of your degree course but for life!!!

As a SRGI Alumnus you will become part of a cohesive network of people linked to the college and to each other that will provide support throughout your life. The alumni play an enormous role in the college’s development. Our students are a part of our past and contribute to our present, helping with our ambitious goals for the future.


SRGI teaching and assessment methods aim to create a participant-driven environment.
The leaning process is stringent and demanding; it aims at learning concepts,
perspectives and a new approach to life and career.


Teaching methodology

The teaching methodology is benchmarked with global perspective to meet the challenges of the competitive business environment. Students imbibe a holistic perspective to enhance their employability. There are modules on business communication, industry analysis and cross-cultural etiquette.

Live assignments

While in-class learning strengthens conceptual knowledge, practical learning equips students with the aptitude to work effectively. Students are required to take up live projects from industry.

Case Study Approach

At SRGI, besides regular lectures and interactive sessions, case studies are used as a powerful tool in the leaning process. This gives students the opportunity to study real life scenarios and equip themselves to handle situations that they have learnt in their regular curriculum.

Group Discussions

Discussing ideas in a group is one of the best ways to solve the problem and find valuable solutions to business issues. It is imperative to provide an open forum for discussion where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas.

Group Projects

Students are required to take live projects from industry. They analyze business issues, learn to develop options and in the process they develop action plans, professional attitude, skills and discipline. This is facilitated through groups of students coming together for research, analysis of issues, presentations, corporate visits, etc. This equips the students to handle group dynamics and inter-personal relationships effectively.

Business Simulation Games

Business games, simulations, role plays etc. form integral part of SRGI curriculum. This makes students more competent and confident to handle similar situations in the competitive business environment.


Ability to work as part of large teams is also seen as essential to the development of students. To imbibe this ability, students are frequently divided into 15-20 member teams or syndicates to work on research issues.

Events and programs

SRGI learning program requires students to actively work on various events and life style related programs. These programs are entirely managed by students. They learn peer leadership, planning, resource management and new career value system and perspective towards life.
