B. C. A. (Bachelor Computer of Application)
The course is aimed to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge in main areas of computer science or industrial computing. The structure of the program is such that it offers a considerable understanding of various key theories in the fields of computer science.
The BCA programme allows candidates to:
- Assist students to acquire a systematic and coherent body of knowledge in management, the underlying principles and concepts and problem solving techniques to deal with the complex issues that arise from these considerations.
- Develop in students the academic skills and attitudes necessary to comprehend and evaluate information, management concepts from a range of perspectives.
- Develop in participants the ability to review, consolidate, extend and apply the knowledge and techniques learnt to real organizational and entrepreneurial situations and evidence from a range of sources.
The study of this programme will provide information on generating innovative ideas, avoiding the problems and pitfalls of entrepreneurship, examining where and how to find assistance and support, and applying learning to personal, community and business ventures.
By developing an understanding of the role and contribution of information systems, BCA graduates will be able to drive and enable the achievement of business goals and objectives, and manage the vital information systems resource in organizations.
