Under the umbrella of SR Group of Institutions, Mechanical Engineering Department has organized an Expert Lecture Session on most relevant topic “Advancement in Materials” on 26 Feb.2020 at MBA Seminar Hall at 11.00 am. The session started with gaiety and exuberance by lightening of the knowledge lamp by the Chief Guest of the event Dr. Brijesh Gangil along with Dean Academics Affairs & other department faculty & staff members.

The Keynote Speaker of the occasion was Dr. Brijesh Gangil, Associate Professor from S.O.E.T, HNB Central University, Srinagar, Garwal UK. He informed the students that Polymer Composites & Natural Composits have been widely adopted across industry sectors. One of the main attractions to composite materials is that they’re extremely lightweight, 30% lighter than aluminium and 25% the weight of steel. He emphasized that The durability of composite materials is also quite impressive. In particular, composites are able to withstand impacts that would normally destroy steel. This strength extends to their ability to resist damage from corrosion from chemicals such as acid rain that would otherwise damage alternative metals. He also focused on the different types of composites materials and their application areas.
He also give an very impressive knowledge about the Industry 4.0 & related issues. He also focused on the Resins, Jute, Kelvar, Coconut fiber, Boomboo fiber, Banana leaf, their properties & application areas.
Thereafter, there was a session of question and answers in which students asked many interesting questions from the speakers to satisfy their curiosity. The vote of thanks was proposed by Er.Jeetendra Mohan Khare, Head (Mechanical Engineering Department). On the occasion Dr.Vinod Kumar Singh , Dr.Ashish Kumar Gupta, Er.Shant Kumar jain, Er. Pushpendra Soni, Er. Shobhit Sharma, Er. Divya Kushwaha ,Mr. Krishnanad , Mr.Shivpal Singh were present.
