It gives me immense pleasure to extend my heartfelt greetings to all the Students, Faculty Members, Staff Members and Visitors of the SR Group of Institution. The SR Group of Institution was set up in 2002 to fulfill the long-standing aspiration of the people of Jhansi and adjoining areas of Bundelkhand region and its adjoining districts.
The Institution aims to be elevated as one of the most prominent Centre for teaching and learning, and research and innovation in Uttar Pradesh as well as India. The SRGI is dedicated to holistic development of future generations by providing required infrastructural facilities in a safe and comfortable environment to match with the evolving and globalising societal needs. It aims to play a crucial role to empower the people of Bundelkhand and adjacent areas by imparting higher education.
To fulfil the Mission of the Institution, the colleges and departments across disciplines are encouraged to initiate exchange and collaboration programmes with other universities in the country initially, with the scope of further expansion to international collaboration in future.
The faculty members are encouraged for interdisciplinary research and are inspired to submit research proposals to various funding agencies to ensure time bound output and to create infrastructural facilities. All the Faculty members are encouraged to carry out high quality curiosity driven research, applied research and education research.
In view of the economic and geographic background of the region, certificate courses are being initiated in the field of Management, Computer Applications, Agriculture, and Engineering to generate employment opportunities.
For the holistic development of the students the Institution encourages the students to participate in both curricular and co-curricular activities for developing a sense of discipline, team spirit, cooperation, responsibility and brotherhood. The students have won awards and trophies in sports and other extra curricular activities.
A strong Public Relation Cell promote and disseminate knowledge amongst the citizens about its activities, to attract bright minds and to help in justifying the use of public funding through various media.
The Institute boasts of an environment of academic interaction among students and teachers, a culture of accountability and transparency, which includes and involves all its stake holders, including alumni, to achieve its time-bound short-term and long-term goals of sustainable development of the Nation.
I have every hope that the continuous annual incremental progress will take the SR Group of Institution to new heights and make it one of the top-ranking education and research centre in the Country.
