About VELOCITY
The Annual Sports Meet of SR Group of Institutions, “VELOCITY 2018”, was held on 8–9 February 2018. The Chief Guest, Mr. Madan Mohan Mishra (Member of Finance Committee BCCI & President of DCA Jhansi), and the Guest of Honour, Mr. Brijendra Yadav (Secretary DCA), graced the occasion. Group Director Prof. (Dr.) Archana Lala and Principal Polytechnic Dr. Jitendra Rai were also present.
The day commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana. A spectacular march past followed, accompanied by the army band. The Chief Guest praised the students’ performance and emphasized the value of discipline in life.
The students participated enthusiastically in various events. The valedictory function was held after the final event. Mr. S.K. Rai, Chairman SRGI, presided over the closing ceremony and distributed prizes. He stressed the importance of balancing sports with academics. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Er. C.P. Singh, Coordinator Sports.
